| Dear Readers, This summer, Nik will be leading another one of USC’s pre-college summer programs on bitcoin. An opportunity to learn more about money…something I’m sure many of us wish we had learned more of during our teenage/high school years.
“Bitcoin and AI” begins with monetary history and an overview of today’s dollar-based financial system, then explores Bitcoin’s origins and technical components, including public-key cryptography and mining. Students will learn about AI’s rapid introduction into the global economy — as well as the industries it will disrupt for years to come. Finally, the course will speculate on the intersection between Bitcoin, stablecoins and government digital currencies in the future. The program also includes a field trip to JP Morgan.
