Dear Readers, Americans resoundingly rejected economic illiteracy in this week’s nationwide election, and I’ll give you a brief summary of why. In exit polls across news providers, the economy proved to be voters’ most important issue. If the leading economic voice of the incumbent party, Elizabeth Warren, blames grocery store CEOs for rising food prices, it deserves to be stripped of policymaking relevance for sheer economic illiteracy, a moronic unawareness of basic math, and the inability to connect the dots between inflation and $10 trillion in deficit spending. With the Massachusetts electorate unable to do the job themselves (Warren retained her seat), the nation took matters into its own hands, assigning both the executive and legislative branches of government to Republicans by healthy margins.
